Educational Clinics for Horse Owners
The Lakewood Riding Club hosts 3-4 educational clinics a year. With a goal of educating horse owners regardless of riding disciplines, our clinics cover a wide variety of topics such as ground work, de-spook, dressage for the trail rider, trailer handling, rider self-defense, liberty work, etc.
Usually free or with a minimal fee for Club members, these clinics are typically one day events, held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Event Center. The Event Center, located on the east side of the Rodeo arena, is a well lit and heated indoor arena with stadium seating for observers, clean restrooms and a good sound system that ensures everyone hears the clinician that is presenting.
Participating Active Members should bring a filled out a Release Waiver to each Clinic they attend.
Non-Members are welcome to participate in one of our Clinics with payment decided by the Executive Board Provisional Membership fee. This fee may be applied to either a single or family membership, should you decide to become an Active member of the Lakewood Riding Club after the event.
